The Boeing Employees' Coin Club has issued
distinctive medals featuring a Boeing product or products most years since the
50th anniversary of The Boeing Company in 1966. These medals are issued in
silver, pewter, and bronze, all with a proof-like (mirror-like) finish, and are
widely collected by BECC members, Boeing employees and retirees, and other
persons interested in aviation and coin club memorabilia.

2006-dated BECC medals featuring Wedgetail |
|
BECC members
present at the club's February 23, 2005 general meeting selected the Wedgetail
(a 737 modified for use as an Airborne Early Warning and Control aircraft
for the Royal Australian Air Force) as the Boeing product to be featured
on the club's 2006 medal. At the March 23 general
meeting, members decided to include Uluru (Ayers Rock) below the airplane
on the medal. The design was completed and approved, and medals
were available for sale to Boeing employees, retirees and other eligible
personnel until sold out.
All 2006 medals are now SOLD OUT. |
