The BECC has held an annual banquet in October for many years. The banquets are usually characterized by great food, good fellowship, an informative speaker, and extra prizes!! The 2008 banquet was held Wednesday, October 22, 2008 as a catered barbeque at the Boeing Oxbow Activity Center, Building 9-150. The theme was HAWAIIAN. Members were encouraged to dress the theme. The speaker for the evening was Norm Bolotin of the History Bank in Woodinville. His subject was the Columbian Exposition, which he has lectured and written books on. Cost of the banquet was $10.00 per member, spouse or guest. The 2007 banquet was held Wednesday, October 17, 2007 (one week earlier than normal) as a catered barbeque at the Boeing Oxbow Activity Center. There was a charge of $10.00 per person. The theme was "Western" and a number of people dressed in Western outfits! The speaker topic was Valuation of Modern US Coins by Ralph Solomon (Redmond Rare Coins). Everyone had a good time and received some sort of prize! The 2006 banquet was held Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at Burien Elks Lodge No. 2143, 14006 1st Ave S, Burien, WA 98168.
