Jim Payne Memorial Award (2019)! – Congratulations to Truus Lagerman, who received the prestigious Jim Payne Memorial Service Award at the club's 2019 annual banquet in Tukwila. See the banquet page. Photo: Truus Lagerman (at left) receives the award from club president and 2017 recipient Tom Koch (at right). Truus is the current club newsletter editor, and part of a very active numismatic family!

The BECC 55th annual coin show in Kent, Washington was held January 19-20, 2019.

Wooden nickels and elongated cents with the P-51 Mustang design were available at the coin show until supplies were exhausted. (One free wooden nickel and one free elongated cent per show attendee.)

This special edition features an article about the BECC annual club medals! Paper copies were available at the show. The Nor'wester is the quarterly publication of the Pacific Northwest Numismatic Association.
